On Friday 20th June 2014, our house in London E18 was burgled between 1pm and 2pm. It happens to a lot of people. We lost computers, jewellery, clothes, shoes, ties - the usual haul for opportunist thieves. However, several things of huge sentimental value were stolen, including my grandfather's gold watch and my mother's engagement ring. They're irreplaceable. I realise that happens to many people too.

However, the one thing that is really distressing is the loss of my father's camera equipment. He was a professional photographer, and he died back in 1962. The only thing I had left of his was his camera and accessories. Everything is gone - camera, case, lenses, exposure meters and camera bag.

The complete set is probably unique, so I'm posting this blog in the hope that someone will spot it, and I may get something back. It's probably been sold by now, or pawned, or offered to a collector of vintage cameras.

Here's the camera, with the Ultron lens it had fitted at the time.

There were also a couple of spare lenses (one a Dynaron) in brown leather cases, a lens hood, an exposure meter (Metrophot - see right), a rangefinder (on top of camera, right), filters and manual.
The complete set was in a brown shoulder bag with a front pocket - on my dad's shoulder in the picture at the top of this blog.
